Jep, i'm back to 3D Land hacking, but i also want to make some Galaxy hacks
So i have some questions here:

-How do i replace an existing Galaxy Slot with the Galaxy template?
I've tried to replace Yoshi's Home Galaxy with the Galaxy template. I renamed everything to the Yoshi's galaxy name and also changed the Star IDs in the Scenario files to the original Star ID from Yoshi's Galaxy. But it crashes, when selecting a star on the mission select. Has this something to do with the Scenario files? I also tried to use the original Scenario.arc file, but it makes no difference. Exist there any Step for Step tutorial for replacing existing Galaxies? This would be really nice!

-How do i create a path for the starting point?
A galaxy has a normal Startingpoint but also a path, that Mario is flying when entering the galaxy. How do i set a path to the starting path? This could be a reason for the crashing template galaxy.

-Camera IDs
I want to make custom camera areas. They are using IDs, but the camerafile displays some weird names at the ID section. How do i know, which camera has which ID?

-BMD and BDL
I read, that Galaxy also supports BMD files, that are used in Mario Sunshine for example, and i saw a custom Sunshine level with transparent textures. Does someone know, if there is a BMD creator? And is it possible at all, to get transparent textures in SMG?

-Replacing Green Stars with normal Stars? (SMG2)
Is it possible to make more than 3 Star missions for a Galaxy? And is it also possible to replace the green star missions with new normal missions, that can be unlocked by just finishing the other star missions and without unlocking the green stars?

1. Did you fix all the hashes?
2. ScenarioStarter is the objects name. Use Whitehole 1.1.3 for adding paths.
3. CameraArea objects use c:XXXX where XXXX is the id in hex.
4. The sunshine models were directly imported, so there wasn't anything to change. Transparent textures aren't possible...yet.
5. Yes, but the star select screen will be glitchy. - Nope, doesn't work.

1. I checked all hashes and also used later the Scenario.arc from the original stage. Does a Galaxy also need a Camera intro file (StartScenario1.canm) to work? I tried to import a canm file to the arc, but WiiExplorer can only import files to the root and the SZS tools crashes when trying to create the arc.
Can you tell me every file, that has to be renamed?

2.Ah thanks

3.Thanks again!

4.Hmm i normaly meant, that i found a custom level in Super Mario Sunshine, not a custom SMG level from Mario Sunshine. It is a remake of the Honeyhive Planet from SMG1. But it can also be, that Sunshine supports BDL file and the model was also just carried over:

5.Alright!

1. Show me your scenario file. Then I can check what's wrong.
4. BMD and BDL are very similar. There is a tool that can be used to convert between these two formats.

Alright! Here it is:

I can also give you a screenshot from the Crash Debugger, if it can help.

Actually, I'm not sure what causes the crash, the scenario file looks fine to me. Maybe you have set the layers for the removed zones to 0 or remove the hashes for the removed zones completely. If you use "Dossun2" it should remove the entries from ZoneList and ScenarioData automatically.

Ah ok. I'm not so sure about that, so can you tell me, how exactly these zones works? AFAIK a Galaxy consist of Zones, that also have their own folder in the StageData folder, but that's all what i know about yet.
Should i send you the fully template level to see what's wrong?

Just remove the zone entries in the scenario file using Dossun2.

Hmm. It still crashes and i don't know why. Maybe i made just a small mistake in the stage itself. However, here is the entire stage:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hghhn25qqh6rjmv/AABPm3Aj_RvZ2JHqcCTrDavca?dl=0

I also have a new question

-How do i add new Zones?
I've tried to add a new Zone with the template and dossun2. I also added the zone in the UseResource and StageObjInfo. I haven't tested it on the wii yet, but i'm 100% sure, that it will crash, because when open the galaxy with Whitehole, nothing will be displayed but when open the Zone, the galaxy will appear. How do i add a new Zone step for step?

Could be a problem with layers. If you assigned a layer that isn't found in the zone file, it will crash because of non-existent data.
