not quite sure where to post this; it isn't a 'tool' per se (only code) but it's the best category for it, so...

it might be slightly older than Kuribo64

provided for the curious people and those who feel like taking it somewhere (ie. not me)

if you look into it deep enough, you can notice that one of the differences with the Java code is the absence of "(byte)(a&0xFF)" type boilerplate which was required due to Java's lack of unsigned types.

does this mean you will work on Whitehole again?

no.

have fun.

Are you working on Whitehole again?

Hmm, interesting. I'll take a look at this whenever I find the time.

anyway, a quick summary of fun things the code has:

* Yaz0 compression. iirc it's functional and not that bad.
* flexible file handling, not quite what it should have been though. ideal system would be that of Coinkiller.
* Google Translate support, for Japanese labels and such. I'll eat myself if that code still works.
* a quick little dialog for getting the BCSV hash of a given string
* ObjNameTable viewer (probably what used the aforementioned Google translator)

Yaz0 compression sounds pretty good and it would be useful.
I have included a hash generator into the newer builds of Whitehole. Although, I coded it in a somewhat shitty way, because I had problems with the hash's length. The ObjNameTable viewer...well, this doesn't seem to be useful at all, because the BCSV editor that you had added to the released builds of Whitehole is much better. But I guess the BCSV editor was based on the ObjNameTable viewer, right?

Whitehole Java has Yaz0 compression too. dunno if it's used tho.

iirc the BCSV editor was built from scratch in the Java version. and yeah, it's more interesting because it can open any BCSV.
