I can't add any objects in whitehole, in the add object screen all I get is this:

When I open whitehole at the bottom it says "Failed to update object database: received invalid data."

Did you select your game folder properly? If you have your folder set to a name like "SMG2" then make sure you choose that one. Inside of that folder should be:
/SMG2/ObjectData/
/SMG2/StageData/
/SMG2/EverythingElse/
So again, you would want to select /SMG2/ or whatever you have it called when you open Whitehole.

It is set to the right folder. The "Failed to update object database: received invalid data." error happens as soon as I open it, before I choose a game folder.

The strange thing is that in whitehole 1.2 it all works fine, but in 1.4.3 it doesn't.

Just download it and put it where your whitehole jar file is. It should work even if it gives an error!

Are there any alternatives to obj2bdl? Python 3 installs on my computer fine, but all the downloads I've found for PyQt4 and SIS don't download. If not, any links to a non Sourceforge version of PyQt4 and SIS, or would someone at least turn my obj into .bdl's for me?

The PyQt4 installer found in GalaxyCreate (found somewhere on kuribo64) works for me. If not, you can always use BMDCubed, but it is harder to use and hard to get working.

So I installed PyQt4 and SIP. On Python 3.6, PyQt4 doesn't seem to work, despite being installed:
And on Python 3.3, SIP doesn't install using PIP, and I don't know how to build it in if the versions I find aren't compatible.[although I don't know if the error posted here is related].
I had to brute force my way this far, and I'm really at a loss as to what I can do now. Can someone help out? A fix for EITHER version would help me out TONS!

pnk314: show a screenshot of a chomp selected in Whitehole (so we can see obj args and its path. Also make sure they are not hitting anything

Smg065: Uninstall Python, PyQt4, and SIP, and use the installers in GC Create. For some reason, that made it work for me.
