I decided to give Whitehole another try, just to add in path editing and I was successful! But there's more in this new version of Whitehole, including some major bug fixes. Like the previous v1.4 builds, it's based on v1.2. As usual, the source code and the releases can be found on the Github repo: https://github.com/SunakazeKun/Whitehole-1.4

Features:
- Full support for SMG1 and SMG2
- All object types supported, including paths!
- Improved rendering, including a new renderer for area-like objects
- Property field names are individualized for each object
- Added options to copy and paste the position, rotation and scale of objects
- Added a ShapeModel renderer for SMG2's flower objects
- Added shortcuts for the BCSV editor
- Added a hash generator
- Path colors are randomized

Object colors:

v1.4.1 will contain some small fixes and tiny new features. GeneralPos and cutscene controllers show additional information that make it easier to find a certain object.

That's really good work! Stay tuned
Is it possible to make it so, that you can move an object every 100 steps while holding another button on the keyboard (like in exelix11's SM3DL editor)? That would be very useful for placing things like platforms, without costly editing every coordinates. An option to duplicate objects also would be nice

Hold the Shift button to add multiple objects.

Also, the coordinate thing would be useless, because it wouldn't work with every platform.

Preview.
1. A hash generator will be included so you won't have to you my other tool for this anymore.
2. BCSV editing is easier now, because you can choose the file you want to open.
3. An option to switch the object database server has been added as well, but this isn't useful at the moment, because the PHP script doesn't work yet.

Another new version has been released which fixes downloading the object database from this place and you can now duplicate rows in the BCSV editor.

If you manage to extract the files, yes. I think they didn't change much...or anything...for the WiiU release.
Also, I just released v1.4.2.2. Download links and changelogs can be found on the Github repo.

They never do, only hardware changes/compatibility stuff, really. AFAIK the Wii U release should be able to run a tiny bit more stuff, but dunno. I know rhcafe would be a good place to figure out how to hack the VC game. I think it's possible thru Loadiine, but I'm not much of a Wii U hacker, so uhh

Why was java used in the first place if it wasn't the 'best' option? Was it because of compatibility with other operating systems that java was chosen?

Ehhh, IIRC there were problems with rendering stuff, so StapleButter switched to Java. I think Dirbaio told him about these problems.
