Is it possible to make it so, that you can move an object every 100 steps while holding another button on the keyboard (like in exelix11's SM3DL editor)? That would be very useful for placing things like platforms, without costly editing every coordinates. An option to duplicate objects also would be nice
All right. But how should i place it? I've tried it a week ago and i placed that object at the same place where Mario's startingpoint is, but nothing has changed
Taking a look at Nintendo's levels, they placed that object under the place where the level is. I don't understand that. I've also tried to scale the object and changed also the parameters, but all that makes no different...

I'm hacking all kinds of Mariogames (Sonicgames too but just the Genesis/Megadrive games). My goal is to make a series of hacked games. I normally want to start that all with a SMW hack, but unfortunately i'm really haphazard
Anyway, SMG hacking was a big dream for me when i was a kid. And i also have fun with hacking this game (except the game crashes when loading xD )
You can copy coordinates of other objects and can past these coordinates to the new object, that was created. This can fix the problem, but it needs a bit time.
And the camera view is not that bad. If you hold the wheel on the mouse you can explore the level pretty okay.
You don't have to copy every x/y/z coordinate! You just have to press with the right button on the properties of the object, press then "copy "position. Then create the new object and just press with a right click on the properties again, just press past coordinates and that's all. This needs just one second!
I discovered the following:
We know, if we give a pipe in Childrenobjects another pipe, the pipes are connected to each other, but if you change the scale from one of the pipes, it cannot be entered but it can be leaved!! You can see it in my level, when Mario goes from the bonusroom to the overworld. He jumps crouching on the pipe, but he cannot enter it. lol xD
Hm. I think Music importing seems to be impossible for 3d land yet. I've tried to put the music in the game, but it ever crashes! I first used the converter from EFE and then with the from 4D. both crashes!! But in other games like mk7 and luigis mansion it works without any problem
Cool! Here a little tipp:
If the red walls in the editor goes on your nerves, you can easily change the obj of the wall in HELP -> OBJECTS DATABASE EDITOR. Just add the object TransparentWall and change the Modelname to an object in the modelsfolder, that is not so big and display your 2D level without irritating walls.
