I found out how that works. Remember when we thought that UseResource.arc is useless? It's the exact opposite. I added a UseResource file for Galactic Apex and I was able to decrease the loading time from 6 seconds to 2 seconds.

Oh, then it was me only. First, everyone said it's required for editing galaxies, because this file tells the game which files need to be loaded, otherwise the game will crash. Well, it also works without editing UseResource, but it loads very long.

Neo Mario Galaxy is an unofficial modification to Super Mario Galaxy 2, that can be played legally on any homebrew-enabled Wii or Wii U console. I think I'll start them. My name is SunakazeKun and I hack the SMG for about two years now. In this time I've created lots of custom levels and I founded the NMG project. One of my biggest goals in SMG hacking was documenting all the leftover objects.
I live in Germany, English is my second language. I'm a huge fan of British music group Genesis.

You did everything correctly, but you said you changed GalaxyInfo to 1. This means that there are 8 galaxies in World 1 technically. Change IslandFleetGalaxy's or BigHillsGalaxy's GalaxyInfo to 10, then it should work

They aren't placed in a zone, but they are loaded by other objects.
Example: BegomanSpring is spawned by BegomanSpringLauncher.

I just looked at the files and nothing freezes for me. Some of the settings don't display anymore, but this really is a mistake I did. I'm going to upload a new template now. Also, I suggest you to "ban" or "block" the Sound, Design and other files that you don't use. That's because the Sound and Design files contain areas that control lighting and sound effects. Whitehole doesn't display them, actually. You can simply place these areas in a normal Map file as well, the files are pretty useless.
EDIT: If you don't know how that works, here's a small bit from the XML that NMG uses:
